Summary of the previous minute by Raphael Tornyi (Secretary)

A move was made by Mr. Isaac Agyarko and seconded by Rev Robertson Nyarko as a result our previous minute was adopted.

The General Assembly was briefed about the death of our Interim Chairman (Mr. Seth Nanemeh) and the donation (GHS 1500.00) that was made to his family on behalf of the General Assembly by the Leadership. The briefing was done by Hon. Dr. Gideon Quarcoo.

ECG gave us an assurance that the cables will be approved since the transformers are already available and hopefully before the end of the year the poles will have cables on them.

The road network was given a lot of attention. Land owners that build on the roads will have their walls broken down. A committee to that effect is underway. Our major roads will be fixed as soon as the accounts are put together.

Concerning the registration of ACCORD, a move was made and seconded by many members and a cash contribution is still ongoing to help us register our Association with a new bank account.

Ronidany case was done by Lawyer Jasper (Acting Chairman) and the Secretary of the family with significant information. The details in short: the Adden – Darpoh Family finally made known their family head. The family is doing extremely well with the case considering the depth of issues that are within the process. With reference to a document by Land Commission (Land Valuation Division): LVD/6489/36, the Adden – Darpoh Family was among the eleven (11) claimants of the land in question except Ronidany. The  Adden Darpoh family are the main grantors of our lands but interestingly were not part of the purported people Ronidany claimed to have taken to the so called court. A search conducted in the Courts indicated that Ronidany has not gone to any court on this matter.. Matters of this nature needs verdict from a court of competent jurisdiction. Also from the previous judgement that was in favour of the Adden – Darpoh Family can’t be overturn by a new ruling. Therefore the Coordinator for land issues and committee that will start working on the removal of the security armed men from our lands will come to a full effect soon after the registration of our Association within this month of August 2021. Most importantly the harassment of Central City members on their building project. It’s clear that our lands have no injunction so a committee will be working hand in hand with the authorities to ensure that our members do not face any form of harassment any longer.

Contributions (cash donations) are open to facilitate the registration of our Association and general stationary. At the meeting ground we had GHS 1090.00 cash. Others paid via mobile money: 0245703180…Raphael Tornyi or 0208520993…Raphael Tornyi. The list of names for the payment will be made known within the week. All members are to pay an amount of GHS 50.00 to enable us fix the registration and the bank account for the Association.

Three (3) new members were added to the Executive Committee after a motion was moved and seconded by many members.

Members also want to know if there’s a provision for market and public spaces.

Other members of our Central City Community that belong to smaller groups due to where they bought their lands came to join ACCORD. We encourage all other groups to merge forces with ACCORD for a better result.
